What SkillMart is and who can use it

SkillMart is a marketplace that connects clients who need local services with skilled workers who can get the job done. From cleaning to plumbing to tutoring, we cover a wide range of service categories.

Yes! Creating an account is completely free for both clients and workers. We only charge a small service fee on completed transactions.

SkillMart is currently available in the Philippines, with plans to expand to more regions.

You choose your role when you create your account. Clients post jobs; workers browse and apply. Some people use both over time—you can focus on what you need right now.

SkillMart is a job marketplace, not a fixed-price store. Clients set a budget when they post a job (fixed price or hourly, in PHP). Workers apply with their offer. The final amount depends on the job scope and what you agree on in the app.

Yes. Use our website at skillmart.ph and app.skillmart.ph in your browser, or install the SkillMart mobile app on Android when available. Sign in with the same account across devices.

Yes. You can create an account or sign in with Google (and Facebook where enabled) through our secure sign-in flow, in addition to email and password.

For Clients

Posting jobs, hiring, and paying

After signing in, go to your dashboard and click "Post a Job." Fill in the details like title, description, category, budget (fixed or hourly), and location—including a map pin when possible.

After posting a job, you'll receive applications from interested workers. Review their profiles, ratings, reviews, and verification badges, then accept the best fit.

Yes. For active assignments, you can see live location updates when the worker has started the trip and granted location permission—so you know they are en route.

Use in-app chat on the assignment thread to agree on scope, timing, and updates. Messages stay on SkillMart for reference if you need support later.

Workers build a public profile with ratings and reviews from past clients. You can also look for identity verification and TESDA certificate badges where workers have completed our review process. Chat before hiring to confirm details.

Workers may optionally submit a government ID and selfie for manual review by our team. Approved workers can show a verified indicator on their profile to help clients hire with more confidence.

Workers with TESDA National Certificate (NC) or Certificate of Competency (COC) can upload their certificate for review. When approved, a TESDA-related badge may appear on their profile. Always confirm scope and credentials for your specific job.

Payments are made through the platform when the job is ready to be paid—typically after work is completed. Online checkout is powered by PayMongo (cards, GCash, Maya, QRPh, and other methods we enable). Cash may also be recorded in the app where that option is available for your assignment.

For Workers

Finding work, getting paid, and building trust

Browse job listings on your dashboard. You can filter by category, distance, budget, and urgency to find work that fits you.

When you finish a job, the client completes payment through SkillMart—online via PayMongo or by recording cash where supported. Once payment is recorded on the assignment, you will see it in your payment history in the app.

Yes! You can apply to multiple jobs and manage your schedule as you see fit.

After each completed job, both you and the client can leave a review. Good reviews help you get more jobs and higher-paying opportunities.

Identity verification is optional but recommended. Submit a clear government ID and selfie in the app; our team reviews submissions in about one to two business days. Verified status can help you win more client trust.

Yes. Workers can submit TESDA NC/COC documents for admin review, and add other certifications (e.g. civil service, LTO) to strengthen their profile.

Payments & Security

Fees, methods, and keeping your data safe

Absolutely. Online payments are processed through PayMongo, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

You pay when completing the payment step for an assignment—usually after the work is done and you are ready to close out the job. The exact amount and any platform fee are shown before you confirm.

Through PayMongo we support methods such as credit and debit cards, GCash, Maya, GrabPay, QRPh, and other options enabled at checkout. Available methods may vary slightly by transaction.

We charge a small service fee on completed transactions. The exact fee structure is displayed before you confirm any payment.

Refund eligibility depends on the situation and the records in the app. Contact our support team at contact@skillmart.ph for assistance with payment disputes.

Trust & Account

Safety, privacy, and support

No. SkillMart is a marketplace platform. Workers are independent service providers, not employees of SkillMart. Clients hire workers for specific jobs under the terms they agree on in the app.

Account registration is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and able to enter into agreements under Philippine law. See our Terms and Conditions for more on eligibility.

We collect and use information to run the marketplace—for example account details, jobs, messages, payments, and optional verification uploads. Read our Privacy Policy for full details and your rights under the Data Privacy Act.

Self-service account deletion may not be available yet. To request account closure or data-related requests, contact us at contact@skillmart.ph or through the Contact page in the app or website.
